Introduction
Designing the Arsenal Experience for Nullpoint
Nullpoint is a sci-fi combat experience where weapons, upgrades, and player progression are a major part of the gameplay loop. The goal was to create an arsenal interface that felt like part of the game world—not a separate menu.
I designed the visual language, weapon management screens, UI system, and supporting game visuals around a dark industrial aesthetic with strong orange energy accents.

Challenge
Making a Complex Arsenal Feel Easy to Read
The interface needed to present a lot of information at once: weapons, rarity, stats, skins, upgrades, and player resources.
The challenge was finding a balance between information density and visual hierarchy. It needed to feel technical and futuristic without becoming difficult to navigate during gameplay.

Solution
A UI Built Around the Weapon
I made the selected weapon the visual center of the experience. Supporting information is organized around it through clear panels, stat indicators, skin slots, and action controls.
A restrained dark palette combined with amber energy highlights gives the interface a strong identity while making important actions and weapon states immediately visible.

Process
From Visual Direction to Game-Ready UI
I started by defining the visual direction, typography, color system, and overall UI language. From there, I explored weapon layouts, information hierarchy, navigation, and interaction states.
Once the core system was established, I developed the arsenal screen, weapon cards, stats, skin components, and supporting visual assets as one consistent interface rather than designing each screen independently.

Research
Understanding How Players Read Game Interfaces
The research focused on how players quickly identify weapon status, rarity, performance, and available actions inside inventory and arsenal screens.
I studied sci-fi and tactical game interfaces to understand common patterns, then simplified them into a system that fit Nullpoint's own visual identity instead of copying existing game UIs.

Building the World Behind the Interface
From typography and color exploration to weapons, characters, energy effects, and interface screens, every visual element was developed to support the same sci-fi universe.
Results
A Stronger Visual Identity for the Arsenal
The final interface brings the weapon, player information, and actions into a single visual system. Important information is easier to scan while the interface maintains the high-tech atmosphere of the game.
The resulting direction also created a foundation for extending the same UI language across weapons, characters, energy systems, progression, and future game screens.
Conclusion
Built to Feel Like Part of the Game
The goal wasn't simply to make a futuristic-looking interface. Every visual decision was made around how the player would understand and interact with the game.
Nullpoint's final UI combines clarity, atmosphere, and game-world storytelling, giving the arsenal experience its own visual personality while leaving room for the system to grow with the game.
